WINTER SOLSTICE 2021

There are periods during our spiritual journey which allows us to put our own thoughts and emotions into perspective. Usually, this critique of our inner-self happens in December during the winter season, which includes the Winter Solstice. The Latin translation of Solstice is sol, (sun) and sistere (stand still). In other words, it is paraphrased as “sun stand still.” There are a few misunderstandings in regard to the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice does not last the whole winter season, nor does this solar event last a calendar day on the first day of winter because it is the shortest day of sunlight during the whole year. In contrast, the Winter Solstice only lasts for a brief moment when a hemisphere (North or South) is tilted to the farthest point from the Sun at a specific time and point until it reverses direction and starts moving again.

Those who are in the United States will experience this astrological event on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 7:59 am PST, 9:59 am CST, and 10:59 am EST or it will begin at 15:59 Coordinated Universal Time, (UTC), for the rest of the Northern Hemisphere. During this winter season, some of us will be standing in front of a crossroad in our life. Therefore, we need to sort out some of our thoughts and emotions and make decisions and plan in advance of this winter event in order to move forward in both the right and positive direction in the coming the new year. It is with this spiritual purpose of self-reflection in mind during a brief moment when time stops that we have our personal and business objectives in line. These small actions will help us change the course of our life, but it is only if you want to change. Always remember during the Winter and Summer solstice that time stops in order to give us a graceful chance to rearrange or make minor changes in our lifestyles.
